BOMBAY KULFI, THE INDUCTION

Hey guys, back again after a short break ! Got a bit caught up with studies and work. So let the journey roll again, the food journey of ours that we have been sharing with you from time to time, from the streets of Kolkata to luxury food joints ! Today let's take you to Bombay ! Confused ? Ok, well let's bring some clarity, introducing one of the specialities of Mumbai, our very favourite 'KULFI' ! Who doesn't like Kulfi ? Since childhood Kulfi has been a treasure, an excitement, the best treat ! My Dad used to take me on Sunday evenings to have Falooda Kulfi and how I used to be fond of the colour of the Kulfi, the texture and the sweetness !
Hence to bring back the childhood, introducing " THE BOMBAY KULFI " which has opened one of it's outlet in Kolkata and we couldn't keep our calm !

▪ BOMBAY KULFI

Location : Ground Floor, Binayak Apartments, 40-A Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya Sarani, Bhawanipore, Kolkata

Bombay Kulfi makes the creamiest kulfis, with authentic fruit flavours and real ingredients. The favorites here are like the Pista Kulfi, Chilli Guava, Paan, etc, absolutely takes you down the memory lane ! They offer lot of seasonal flavours as well.
The interior of the parlour is decorated with Bollywood posters and graphic walls, with colorful stools around so you can hangout there and enjoy your treats.

Flavours we tried -

🔸KOLKATA PAAN
🔸CHILLI GUAVA
🔸COFFEE WALNUT
🔸CHOCOLATE
🔸RANGEELA

My pick was the Paan Kulfi, it tasted so authentic that I was actually feeling like having a real paan inside my mouth. It was fresh and refreshing. It's a must try.

The Chilli Guava was interesting, Guava flavoured Kulfi topped with Chilli powder, I would recommend this to all as it was something very new I tried aand I liked it.

The Rangeela is one of their special kulfis, 4 in 1 ! The stick has 4 flavors of Kulfi - Green Mango, Strawberry, Orange and Chocolate.

I liked them all if you ask me as I am a Kulfi fanatic, but do visit this place as it's the best Kulfi parlour in town right now with such variety of flavours they are offering.

▪ THE INDUCTION

Another interesting joint located in Bhawanipore itself, a vegetarian fast food joint which would make you crave for veg flavours !

Location : 41. Justice Chandra Madhab Road, Bhawanipore

The signature dishes we tried here :

🔸THE BLACK BURGER
🔸CHEESE TWISTER
🔸PERI PERI TWISTER

I had never tried a Black Burger before. The look completely steals the show. It had a crunchy patty, with enough amount of cheese, tasted good. The black bun is totally exclusive and they bake it in their own oven. It's a golden addition to ttheir menu and is recommended.

The Twisters were the best of the lot and the showstopper handsdown. Loved the crunch if the potato, served with perfect blend of Peri Peri masala and a drizzle of Mayonnaise. It was finger licking good and totally recommend.

UNINHIBITED SUMMER !!

SUMMER... Summer for me is a state of mind, every summer has it's own story. It's summer ! Be free and happy and danceful and uninhibited and now ... Since childhood I have always felt that, Summertime is always the best of what might be. As they say, ' The tans will fade but the memories will last forever '. So as Summer is upon us, I have opted an outfit for myself that would keep me all cool and comfortable out in a sunny sunny day. I have teamed up  BROWN KNITTED TOP with long sleeves, with a CLASSIC DENIM MINI SKIRT.  🔸The BROWN KNITTED TOP  I am wearing, well nothing can be more comfortable than long sleeves in this season. Long sleeves not only gives us a funky look but also protects us from the tan and the heat. If I have a day planned out in the sun, I very much prefer long sleeves. Long sleeve tops are wadrobe essentials for summer. Long and volume sleeves give you a boxy and smart look. BRAND : FOREVER 21 MATERIAL : Cotton FOREV...

Peeping HOT!

Winter tales No matter, how many sweaters, we had pulled out from our trunk, winter dumped us again. However, few things are there which can never cheat on Bengalis! One such is our love for "গরম গরম কচুরি " Kachoris are basically a deep fried puffy and flaky bread loved by most of the Indians. This spicy North Indian dish is stuffed with anything ranging from, pulses ( dal ), peas, dried mango ( amchur ) or just spices! We Bengalis love to tear burst the peeping hot bread, fold it, scoop in some runny potatoes or sweetened daal and yummy!                talking of the places Bengalis have trusted for their kachoris since ages, our first mention would be this. featuring : Sharma Tea House This super crowded busy  snack station lies in the heart of Bhawanipore, pouring down every moment with more crowd, clustering with their plates of essentials ( KACHORI, POTATO CURRY, SAMOSAS). A few showed up with p...
