Lately, I have been approached with a lot of queries regarding Fashion Blogging. A lot of people who are so absorbed in their work, who are not very active on social media are failing to understand what Fashion Blogging is. Where the youngsters, from school, from college, are so very intrigued with the concept of blogging, a big crowd out there stay unaware of the basic meaning of blogging. So I have decided to dedicate this post to enlighten people about what FASHION BLOGGING really is !
🔸What is a FASHION BLOG ?
A fashion blog can cover many things such as specific items of clothing and accessories. beauty tips, trends in various apparel markets, celebrity fashion choices and street fashion trends. They cover fashion at all levels from the largest fashion design houses to the smallest Independent designers.
Many fashion blogs could also be categorized as shopping blogs, similar to the content of fashion magazines. Some retailers in the fashion industry have started blogs to promote their products.
Some blogs focus more on fashion advice, featuring how-to articles for the lay reader. Articles discussing clothing fit, the matching and complementing of colors, and other information on clothes, wearing and care along with prescriptive advice on adhering ro basic standards and recent trends.
🔸Who is a BLOGGER ?
The easiest way of describing a blogger is someone who is known primarily for their website. Fashion bloggers have a point of view, a certain taste and a unique way of presenting and documenting fashion - whether visual or written.
🔸Who is an INFLUENCER ?
Influencer don't typically have blogs or their own platforms outside of social media. Currently, the worth of an influencer is rooted in how many followers they have and who their followers are - of his or her Instagram insights indicate that their following is loyal ! Brands pay them to wear their clothes, which they wear on Instagram in their own way and they charge accordingly per post.
Hopefully, the confusion is clear now as a lot of people do not understand the difference between a blogger and an influencer.
