Recently, Kolkata- the land of sweets, is experiencing many new kinds of dessert corners which are worth exploring. With such a motive in mind, we continued our foodwalk to one such corner.......
BELGIAN WAFFLE JUNCTION & THE SHAKE FACTORY
ADDRESS: 26/7, Bankim Mukherjee Sarani, New Alipore, Kol- 700053
ORIGIN: Originally waffles were originated in North America. Within a span of time, a new kind of waffle was invented which were made with a lighter batter, larger squares and deeper pockets than ordinary American waffles. These new kind of waffles were named as famous "BELGIAN WAFFLES".

INTRODUCTION: The parent company of Belgian Waffle Junction is from Belgium and it is the master franchise of India. This is Kolkata's first outlet opened on December 25, 2017. This junction serves over 150 kinds of waffles starting from ordinary Belgian waffles, bubble waffles to lolly waffles and waffle sundaes.
This place is also collaborated with THE SHAKE FACTORY. So not only good waffles are served here, with that a wide range of milkshakes of unique and weirdly tasty flavours are also spotted.

- STRAWBERRY DELIGHT BUBBLE WAFFLE: Bubble waffle is basically an egg waffle which is a spherical egg-based waffle popular in Hong Kong and Macau. This particular bubble waffle was first covered with a thick layer of chocolate, then filled with the goodness of strawberry. At last it was covered with whipped cream, strawberries, jelly candies and sprinkles.

- OREO LOLLY WAFFLE: Lolly waffles are nothing but lollipop like thin waffles over a stick covered with desired topping. Oreo lolly waffle was a chocolate waffle covered with crushed Oreo biscuits and a layer of nutella. It was also decorated with whipped cream and sprinkles.

- CARAMEL POPCORN MILKSHAKE: As said before, The Shake Factory will never fail to excite you with all its amazing flavours. This caramel popcorn thick milkshake was filled with the richness of caramel and flavours of popcorn in it which was neither too sweet nor salty, perfect blend for a hot summer day.
