EAT street !

When it comes to Kolkata, feasting on streets in a regular evening, not much things do they look for honestly. Its pretty simple because their age old choices left hardly any flaws  to find the best.
On our first food walk we decided two venture two of Kolkata's most famous street food joints...

 featuring:  Balwant Singh's Dhaba

This 100 years old joint needs no new identity as it is famous even among the celebs for its iconic KESAR TEA (frothing creamy milk-tea created by multiple chag  having saffron streaming on it )

and DOODH COLA. (iced milk and cola blended to create a perfect refreshment)

Where- Near Bhawanipore Gurudwara
Pocket Pinch- 150 for 2 (approx)
Pro Tip- Don't miss out their famous KEBABS

featuring: Pandit's Fuchka Stall

This busy person has taken thin-crust water-balls (fuchka/ golgappa) to an altogether different level!!!  His magics on tangy world are even available through Swiggy. We tried
DAHI FUCHKA (fuchka with potato stuffing , yoghurt, tamarind sauce and various other spices)
and KHATTA MITHA CHURMUR (fuchka crisps in a chat form mixed with herbs, spices and sweet and sour sauces).

Where- Vivekananda Park
When- 6pm onwards
Pocket Pinch- 50-100 for 2

Pro Tip- NEVER miss the FAMOUS DAHI FUCHKA, MITHA FUCHKA, CHURMUR CHATS, TIKIA CHATS, RAGRA CHATS, ALOO DUMS...... phew list goes on!

UNINHIBITED SUMMER !!

SUMMER... Summer for me is a state of mind, every summer has it's own story. It's summer ! Be free and happy and danceful and uninhibited and now ... Since childhood I have always felt that, Summertime is always the best of what might be. As they say, ' The tans will fade but the memories will last forever '. So as Summer is upon us, I have opted an outfit for myself that would keep me all cool and comfortable out in a sunny sunny day. I have teamed up  BROWN KNITTED TOP with long sleeves, with a CLASSIC DENIM MINI SKIRT.  🔸The BROWN KNITTED TOP  I am wearing, well nothing can be more comfortable than long sleeves in this season. Long sleeves not only gives us a funky look but also protects us from the tan and the heat. If I have a day planned out in the sun, I very much prefer long sleeves. Long sleeve tops are wadrobe essentials for summer. Long and volume sleeves give you a boxy and smart look. BRAND : FOREVER 21 MATERIAL : Cotton FOREV...

Peeping HOT!

Winter tales No matter, how many sweaters, we had pulled out from our trunk, winter dumped us again. However, few things are there which can never cheat on Bengalis! One such is our love for "গরম গরম কচুরি " Kachoris are basically a deep fried puffy and flaky bread loved by most of the Indians. This spicy North Indian dish is stuffed with anything ranging from, pulses ( dal ), peas, dried mango ( amchur ) or just spices! We Bengalis love to tear burst the peeping hot bread, fold it, scoop in some runny potatoes or sweetened daal and yummy!                talking of the places Bengalis have trusted for their kachoris since ages, our first mention would be this. featuring : Sharma Tea House This super crowded busy  snack station lies in the heart of Bhawanipore, pouring down every moment with more crowd, clustering with their plates of essentials ( KACHORI, POTATO CURRY, SAMOSAS). A few showed up with p...
